Barbara knows that far too many West Virginians are without health care. Citizens of our country rank 25th in health status, yet we spend twice as much as the next highest spending country on our health care! Barbara will work to implement Governor Manchin's health care access bill. As our Delegate, she'll fight to ensure a long-term solution so that everyone in our state has access to affordable health care.
Our state cannot get out of last place without good paying jobs with decent benefits. Instead of corporate giveaways, Barbara will work for economic and education incentives that will give our graduates a reason to stay and work in West Virginia. But economic development cannot be blind. Barbara wants West Virginia to stay "Wild and Wonderful." Our efforts to increase good jobs must be balanced with preserving our beautiful landscape.
Barbara wants to preserve the good things about our state, as we work to make West Virginia a better place to live. Barbara knows that West Virginians are strongly committed to preserving our families, our Constitutional rights, and our ties to local communities. Barbara has a record of service for at-risk children, especially those who have been abused and neglected. She is opposed to any more consolidation of schools, which has harmed rural communities and their children. As our Delegate, she will stand up for West Virginia values.
